We want to update all of our customers in relation to service provision with the Covid19 situation.
The University continues to closely monitor the national situation regarding Coronavirus and regular meetings have been taking place over the last month to plan potential responses.
We are in touch with other universities and conference venues to ensure we are all sharing best practice and liaising with our local councils and public health regarding situations at a local level.
The health and wellbeing of our visitors, residential guests, staff and students is the University’s top priority.
The University of Wolverhampton Conferencing Deprtment is following Government guidelines, to ensure the safety of all University staff, students and visitors, therefore, no new meeting room and accommodation bookings will be taken until 30th September 2020.
For existing bookings taking place from now onwards, we would like to hear from you, and what your plans are in line with Public Health England advice, in order to protect the health and wellbeing of your delegates and University staff and students.
We are concerned that as our staff and students share the premises where the event will be held, all groups may be unnecessarily exposed to risk if the event continues without the requisite precautions being taken by the organisers. In relation to delegates, we believe that you are best placed to assess any risks posed to delegates attending the event and to ensure that the health and wellbeing of all groups on campus will not be compromised if the event continues.
If you decide to cancel or postpone your booking then please contact the conference team as soon as possible. We are more than happy to discuss your plans further and will work with you to ensure that all necessary precautions are being taken.
We will continue to keep you updated on any further changes during this evolving situation via the University web pages and direct contact from the Conference department.
