The Institute for Innovation & Enterprise, at the University of Wolverhampton, are leading the Student Placements for Entrepreneurs in Education West Midlands (SPEED WM) project, involving 8 local universities. The project helps entrepreneurial students and alumni to set up their own businesses whilst they are studying or having recently graduated.

The £5million project, partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, aims to help students and alumni become the entrepreneurs of the future and has been running since March 2009.
